If you read my last post about my LA Splash liquid lipstick (£9.95) you will know that I quickly fell in love with the formula and brand so it’s no surprise that I’m writing another post on them but in the shade Persephone.
Persephone is a beautiful bronze metallic shade which has shimmers of gold running throughout it which is absolutely stunning. It’s definitely one of the more daring shades to wear because in some lights when on the lips it can look darker even slightly on the black shade, but if you can stop letting that faze you it’s perfect. To be honest it was only my boyfriend who thought this lipstick was a complete black shade on my lips, everyone else just thought it was either a bronze or dark brown which is what it is.
When I wore this to work I got loads of complements on it because it was something completely different with the gold speckles running through it which you can even see when it’s on, I’m just a massive fan of metallics anyway so this liquid lipstick is great.
The staying power of this is fab too with the fact I only had to reapply it a little bit after I ate on my inside of my lips, you know the bit that’s kind of like the waterline of our mouths. Even though it’s a matte finish as I found with the other shade by this brand I don’t think it’s too drying in the slightest and it’s one of the most wearable matte finishes I’ve ever found in a lipstick which is a massive win win.
I don’t see me wearing this lipstick too much in the Summer time simply because of the fact that I wear more coral shades then but all through the Spring, Autumn and Winter months I’m going to be loving this shade!
