It’s been a while since I actually got this They’re Real Eyeliner (£18.50) by Benefit because I wanted to test it out enough to get a good opinion on it, since the first time I used it I absolutely hated it even though loads of people I know absolutely love it.
I’m not sure why since I absolutely love the mascara by this range but I’m just not that much of a fan of this eyeliner, I find it way too thick to apply a perfect flick and I’m just not a fan of the consistancy. Plus the nib on it is too rubbery for my liking.
If this gel liner came in a little pot and I could use it was a brush I’m pretty sure that it would be so much better and I would be a fan of it but it’s just the whole applicator that I don’t like, it makes it so hard to actually use and create a nice flick. It could be because I don’t like my thicks to be too thick and since I only have small eyelids if I create a line too big I have no room left for the eyeshadow that I would of already applied.
One thing that I do like about his though is the fact that it is really black and the packaging is really nice, a part of me feels if this wasn’t a gel consistency and was actually liquid then it would be amazing. I never thought that I wouldn’t like anything from Benefit since I love all the products I have from them but this one, it just doesn’t work for me. Although I have seen loads of people rave about this liner so maybe I just need to watch loads of Youtube Videos on it.
